Joey Shimoda got a Degree in Arquitecture from California Politechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1988, to move later to Florence and London and work there for different architecture firms. In 1991 he was part of Frank Gehry´s team to run the design development package for the Olimpic Village in Barcelona.

Deloitte tower in Dallas, Texas
For eight years, Shimoda worked with Daniel Mann Johnson Mendelhall cabinet, where his skills and experience as a Senior Design Associate allowed him to be a key figure in design and get many awards. One of these projects was the Deloitte building in Dallas.

In 2000 he founded Shimoda Design Group, a studio founded on a multi-disciplined platform with a staff of 10 people from different fields : planners, graphic designers, marketing professionals, landscape arquitects… with the aim to satisfy the clients needs. The firm has projects in Dallas, Los Angeles and Michigan.
