Our suggestion this week for interior design: Yakusha Design, from Ukraine

House Ecominimalism by Yakusha Design

We remember the magnificent architecture of Kyev in its ancient and fancy ortodoxe churches with those colorful finishings in their towers, a nice city to walk up and down the avenues, the river with its noble presence in the middle… But we didn´t get to discover such a good architecture and interior design studio like Yakusha Design, so modern and far away from the Ukranian´s tradition that we just have to say “thanks for the fresh air of your proposal”.

The staff is composed by young professionals influenced by European understanding of architecture and design, “away from the Soviet panel buildings with the same type of repairs. Perhaps because of this we will never be invited to make interior for the government nomenclature summer cottage”.

In this post we show you the wide range of projects developed by Yakusha Design, not only in cutting edge design but also in countryhouses in which they play with wood and respect tradition, adapting the projects to the 21st century. Hope you like it.

Good evening, surely the idea of interior design that has been formed, and that is being developed in Eastern Europe is very interesting, because it is interesting and diverse population and culture of these regions: a mixture of new and old, austerity Soviet and new economic course, east and West … in short, the new designers of these countries can sometimes seem to us in the West a bit ‘strange, but their work is the result of a wide culture of people began to travel and experience the world, gaining knowledge, that sometimes even the Western interior designer. The experience that I had in Ukraine was of great interest, especially when I saw local artisans develop plans drawn up and full of difficulties.
Mine is an applause to these new recruits, to which I can only hope to do even a lot of experience, which is the only thing that sometimes lacks for reasons which depend on the area in which people grow up and not subject to diciascuno them. Good work!
